Queries on H1B

Hi all

I came to US on H1B on Nov 25th and two days ago i got my ssn no. My consultant says that he is trying to arrange some interview. My concern is all that how long normally does it take for h1b candidate to land up in taking a job and i am into IT technology (SAP SD) and i am pretty concerned and worried sitting at home. Can we believe the consultants alone or can i market my resume via famous job sites. And it addition i came very late in h1b as i was held up that time during the current job and i have validity only till july. i need to take a job asap. can someone help and suggest me.

H1b candidates can be marketed depending upon the stuff of their petitioners in marketing....

keep searching job on ur own too..incase if u get thro first n get better offer then u can always try to convience ur employer ..if not then u can tell them get the job ASAP can tell u ahve the ability but they do or not??/
but my honest suggestion..be wiht ur h1b employer who got u to USA may be 1yr u wont be getting best salary or better facilities but EOD be honest & loyal for urself..and try to be wiht them..they can make u to grow very well.if after few months u r not fine with ur employer always options are wide open!!

Thanks Sumanth for your time and reply. I too undertstand that i need to be the with the employer. To be frank all i need is a break through and not very particular about money. Sometimes i am too concerned about their marketing skills. My visa expires on July and that is the only concern i raised this question. However thanks again for your reply.let me sit back and wait for a while for the employer to find me an opportunity if not i would do it myself
