Can my emploeyr make H1 visa void?urgent help.

Hi,

I urgently require your help on this:
I had arrived in US 2 months back.I have a valid H1b.I have been searching for a client side project from last month but haven;t been successful to grab one till yet.My Technical recruiter has been unnecessarily giving me hard time Since the time i started applying and has been scaring me to make my visa status void if i am not able to find a job within one months time.I don't know whether he has been doing this with my employer consent or not as i am not in direct contact with my employer.
I want to know on what grounds can they make my visa status void and if at all they do this,within how much time will i have to leave this country?

Subramanya, in my previous thread you had told that an employer can revoke our H1B approval and once it is revoked the H1B visa on the passport would get automatically expired.

In the above case can amn8484 get a H1B approval alone from a new employer before his current employer revokes his approval. Would this help or should he get a new stamping too to save his status? Please let us know.

In case his H1B approval is revoked before he could take any step and he comes to india. In this case if he gets another H1B approval sitting in India, then can he travel to USA with that approval alone or should he get a new stamping on his passport as his earlier stamping's employer has revoked his approval? Thanks a lot in advance.

---- The timing of a new H1 approval and revocation of an old H1 may not take place at the same time. The only way is to apply for a transfer, get a receipt and await the approval

---- Yes, the person will need to get a new H1 Visa stamped on the Passport with the newe H1, since the old H1 has been revoked. Always remember, once a H1 is revoked the computer data base ans systems are updated to refelect the information. Thus the US Consulates and Immigration Officers at the POE's can have access to that information. This enables them to deny you permission to enter the US. All these may be possiblities, but if anything works out to the contrary and if anyone has any opinion and firm answers, I would appreciate them in the forum and be willing to read and listen
