Name on the H1B VISA

Hi All,

I got my H1B stamped recently. I also had 2 B1's stamped earlier in the same passports. The issue is:

My name is Anil Kumar and I do not use any SURNAME. It's wrtitten as follows in my passport

Surname: (blank)
Given Name: Anil Kumar

The B1's issued earlier has following:
Surname: Anil Kumar
Given Name: FNU


But the H1B shows the following:

Surname: Kumar
Given Name: Anil

My concer is: Will this cause any issues when I will be travelling to US?? Do I need to approach consulate??

Hi Anil,

I also had a similar issue. My wife's name printed as in your B1 visa. Then I contacted the vfs thru mail. If you had gone to chennai consulate you can contact to this mail id :[email protected].
For me they have told it wont create any problem as its not a mistake.

I had gone to Delhi consulate, I will contact them via email or will call them up at the number given at vfs website and confirm it.
