Need information on visa stamp renewal

Hi ,

I stamped my H1-B visa in 2006 through infosys and I landed in USA in
Apr-2006. In Oct 2007 , I changed my job and joined surex consultant. My H1 petition has been approved for me as well as for my wife.
I received all documents and petition (I797) for me and my wife who is on H4.

We are planning to visit india for about 15-20 days. My visa stamp on passport is getting expired on Oct 2008 . The name of the company on this visa is infosys.

I am not very sure if I need to go for the visa stamping again before coming back to USA. OR can I travel with the existing visa stamp as it is valid till Oct 2008.

I would appreciate all valuable suggessions and advice on this matter.

Stamping not required

You don't need a new stamping if your current visa is valid and you have the original petition of the new H1B and H4 approval.

However, if you get the new stamping done, it will again get you up to three more years.

Either way, it's okay for you. Make sure you keep all your original documents and project details ready when you return to United States.
