H1 stamping in India - Do we really need prior paystubs?

My spouse is in India for a vacation. She is going to return back in Feb.
She left to India this week. She has got her H1 petition approved. She has an EAD and Travel Document from my I-485 pending case.

Questions is:
Can she get her H1 stamped without prior paystubs from the employer.
She did not work since Oct 1st though she was in the US. We just continued her H4. If she get it stamped in Chennai, will she be asked for it at the port of entry? If they reject ehr for some reason, can she enter into US using travel document at that time?

Pay stubs from the current employer are important and you need to carry it.We really cant say whether they will ask but it is good to have it.Go prepared and dont take any chances.Have pay-stubs generated atleast for the past 6 months, it makes your case strong.Carry your w2's and tax which you may have filed too.
