h1 to h4 : Confusion, pls help!!!!

My Wife came here on H4 and got her H1b in oct 2007..her employer has'nt been able to place her on any project yet & also does not generate any pay stubs. She is pregnant now and expecting in May. To be safe i want her to go to India and get H4 stamped and re-enter as h4. We both approved 797 notices, but the passport stamp expired on Oct 2007. Can she get her H$ visa satmped without me? What all documents are required?

What you have to do immediately is,

Change her H1 to H4, giving the reason of pregnency.

Once she got her H4 while in US, she can go any time outside of US get her visa stamped after delivery.
