H4 to H1 travel question

Hello all,

I am currently in India with a valid H4 stamp on my passport. I am planning to file for H1 this april and I will join my spouse in USA in May.

I came to know that once I apply for H1, entering US can be a problem till I get my H1 stamped. (although H1 will start in Oct)

so is it possible that I apply for H1 from India and visit US on my H4 in May, later if get my H1 stamped in Oct if approved ??

yes you can do that, but remember dont start working till you reenter after getting H1 stamped
