your not in Mumbai consulate area go to Chennai embassy

My wife and kid attended H-4 visa @ Mumbai consulate on 17th Jan 2008, the VO issued a 221g saying that, “your not in Mumbai consulate area go to Chennai embassy”.

Our native place is AP, but from the past two years we were in Mumbai even recently I got H1-B stamped from Mumbai itself. Now I’m in USA. That reason I suggest to my family attend at Mumbai consulate.

Finally we got 221g.

My doubts are,

1st question we need to fill again new DS-156 right …so, in the new DS-156 “the address column we need to mention AP address or Mumbai address becoz in old DS-156 and Mumbai consulate interview appointment letters both we have filled Mumbai address? (Our passports address is AP)

2nd question is “have you been refused visa in last 12months column....Yes/No?

The last question is “we need to go to Chennai VFS first then take an appointment OR directly we can go to consulate on Tue, Wed, Thu days between 10:00-12:00?

1.it doesnt matter which ever address you give.
2.No
3.you dont need to take an appointment. Go directly at 10.00(tue,wed,thu) and show ur 221(g) at the reception which is conisdered as ur appointment slip.

I am writing these replies with my experience and not a senior..so, consider other(senior) replies if there are any discripencies..
