I am aware of the filing fees including the attorney's fees.

But I have a question regarding the processing of the H1B. I have researched that for this fiscal year, the application will start on April 1, 2008.

1. Even if you do premium processing is it true that all the starting dates for employment will start on October 1, 2008?

2. Is the employer OBLIGED to pay for the filing fees payable to the immigration? since it is a direct hire from the company. or is it up between the employer and employee who pays for it?

I know this much for sure that en employer cannot ask you for H1 application fee although you may assist your employer as it is between you and the employer. But legally employer cannot ask for the fee.
