Hi,
My wife has changed her visa from H4 to H1B and started working from this Jan 03. She got her SSN numer when she was on H4, her SS card says that "Not valid for Employment". She went to SS office last week where they say that you can not work because your SS card say that "Not valid for Employment". She is now on H1B and She went there to change it from "Not valid for employment" to "Valid for employment with INS approval".
I don't understand why SS office people say that she can not work eventhough she has her H1B with her. Can you guys please help me out here?
