  • H1B Question

I was on your website looking for information that I just cannot find. I
am currently on a TN visa as a Canadian citizen and it will expire Sept.
26th, 2007. I have been granted the petition approval for my H1B a couple of months ago and thought that I was good. Now I found out that I don't technically have a visa and that I need to get the stamp put into my passport. I am still working at the same company and would like to know what I should do. My lawyer had told me that I do not need to leave the country since I'm a Canadian citizen and already have the approval for the H1B. But in order to return to the US, do I need to get this visa stamp? If so, can I get the stamp within Canada or do I need to leave the country? Where do I go for the stamp, can it be done at a border crossing?

I would appreciate any help and advise that you could give.

    Thank you,
