Mexico Border stamping of H1 B

Hi
I have valid visa till mid of Nov,I got new papers(h1 approval).
Can I go to Tijuna,Mexico for Stamping for extension as it is taking too long at St.Luis.
Will there be any problem if something happens at Mexico.
Can we come back to USA?

I want do ext for my wife h4 too
