Info at Port of Entry

I am G Naresh. I hold valid H1 VISA to travel to US. I just have one quetion to get clarified.

My original H1 (Work Permit) documents are with my consultant who sits in US. Now i have only photo copies of H1 documents.

I want to confirm whether i can travel to US with the H1 photo copy documents. I am carrying all other orginal documents except H1 papers.

I heard that at port of entry , US officers will ask for these documents. Please suggest whether i can travel to US with these documents.

Also please let me know what all questions i expect at port of entry in US.

Please help me in getting clear of this issue.

Get originals, if possible.

Hi,

I do believe that the officer requires the original approval form.

To be safer, ask your employer to send you the originals, after all it takes just a couple days to courier.

I don't think you wish the officer to drill you with too many queries at the POE.
