new passport with name correction

Hi,

I posted this query under general/miscellaneous forum but no reply yet..so i am posting it here hoping to get some reply

My passport, visa (H1) and I-94 has only First name on it.

Now that my old passport exipired and got a new passport with First name and Last name added to it.

I am going on a month vacation to India on April. Will there be any issue while coming back with my old visa, old I-94 on old passport ?

If so what do I need to do ? Please advise.

(I asked few of my friends and they say as long as I carry my old passport and new passport together, that would be just fine)

I have the same issue. I do not have my last name in the Passport as well as on the valid H1 on my passport.

Will my H1 be still valid if I get my name rectified i.e get my last name added to the passport?

Please help as I had issues while leaving US as my ticket had my full name on it and my Visa/Passport had only first name.

No problems in either of your cases as long as a "new" name was not added to the existing name. If it was XY and now it is X FN Y LN, no issues.
