I am working for companyA and will be shifting to companyB pretty soon. CompanyB will start working on my H1b visa transfer pretty soon. My employment with companyA will end on March 28, 2008. And my employment with companyB will begin on April 2, 2008. I am guessing that the start date on my transferred H1b visa with CompanyB will be April 2, 2008 as well.
My questions are:
-Will I be out of status considering the fact that my employment with CompanyA will end on March 28 and my employment with companyB will begin on April 2.
-Is there any grace period to avoid being out of status while a person is changing employers?
