  • H1 Stamping

    Hello All,
I need an information, my H1 was approved in 2007 but i have yet to stamp it since i was in US on L1, i want to know if i do not stamp H1 will it get void in one year period from the date of approval by USCIS?
Also, how is the market of software consultant now a days? Can i take a risk to come over there? As the daily news are about recession in US and lay-off of the people. I am not sure about IT hence taing some advice, though its upto me but just to be on safer side asking some sugesstions.
please respond about the above query.

    Thanks & regards,

Was the H1b a COS from L1 and did you continue working on L1 after the H1b COS approval past Oct 1st? If so, you have worked without authorization past Oct 1st.

Now to your original question. H1b does not expire in 1 year if not stamped. This is some lame excuse consulting companies give its not so informed employees.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
