h1 transfer

I have applied for H1 transfer and expected to receive by another 2-3 months. Can I process my families H4 before this period?
i.e, Is it required that my H1 is transferred before applying H4 ?

Did you get the receipt for your H1 transfer yet?

If so, I think you can use the receipt and a letter that explains that you are waiting for approval.

Note that I assumed that you have started working for your new employer. In this case, I think you can use the receipt and fill in the forms (DS-156) accordingly and send documents (offer letter etc) for the new employer.

Thanks. I have already started working and have 2 paystubs from the new employer. So I think I can proceed with out any issues.
