  • H1 B Renewal

I have applied for H1B renewal at CSC. Receipt date 01/15/02 Does any one have any idea how much time CSC is taking for such cases? Also when I look at processing times I see 3 different H1 catagories
    I-129L
    I-129H1B COS/CN
    I-129H1 EOS

To which catahory does the renewal belong to??

    Hi!

I assume that you are in the I-129H1-EOS(Extension of Status). The first one is an L petition, which uses the same form, and the second one is a change of status to an H or a consular notification.

Keep in mind too, when you're looking at processing times on a "just in time" report, and a date is given (currently 12/17/01 for your type of petition), this is the date that the INS is WORKING on, not approving. A common misconception is that "my date is showing...why @#%$'t my case approved?"

Generally, allow one to two months after your filing date shows on the processing reports before you can expect to have your approval.
