Hello,

I got my H1B extension for three years (485 Pending) till 2011.

When applied for H1B my attorney mistyped my alien no. on I-129 form(one digit is wrong) and the approval notice got the wrong Alien No.

Did anyone had this experience before? I'm planning to go to Canada or India for stamping. Do you think this is a big issue?

I got my I-140 & 485 notices with correct alien no.

Do I need to correct this? If so, how do I do it?

Why don't you (or your employer) ask your lawyer?

Yes, I did ask my lawyer and he said no need to worry about it. But I'm not sure about it because if I go for stamping and at the consulate if they check my Alien No, does it cause any issue.

I'm just trying to find out if anyone had this type of experience and what they did to rectify it.
