hi,

I am working on my OPT and i got my H1 approved for this year. Things are not working well with my current employer and i may have to resign from my job by the end of this month. Does anyone know about Dual H1 or any other suggestions for keeping my H1 ?

What is a Dual H1 in your view?

You can transfer your H1 to a better employer before Oct 1st if your H1 with the bad employer is approved and you have the approval notice copy/receipt number.

I was told that i need to run atleast 2 pay checks on my H1 before i can get it transferred. Is this true ?

No. You can "transfer" before Oct 1st without pay stubs. Pay stubs are needed to show that you maintain H1 status but your H1 status does not start until Oct 1st.

A transfer is nothing but a new petition NOT subject to cap.
