  • Hello all... some Questions here... :)

    Hi All!
nice to c such a vibrant community discussing about H1B visas and getting doubts clarified form PROs
thanks to the immihelp owners and moderators for making this possible ...
straight to my doubts without wasting much time...
(oh btw, i applied for a h1b this year...and im thru the lottery !!! but some experiences posted here were scary...and i dont want to take any such chances)

    1. Im currently working with an IT major in india (for 2 years) but my company doesnt want to give me a work experience certificate..!
i understand that i need to show an acceptable proof to the VO that im currently working somewhere... any ideas to tackle this situation..?
when my consultancy asked me for the same earlier, i mentioned the same reason, and they were satisfied with the offer letter i had and pay slips for the past few months... do u guys think these should help me at the consulate too..?

    2. this query is off track (if ur thinking h1b all the time ) but please bear..
simple Q.. when i get some information changed in my passport, will the passport number change..???

Will keep coming back to this forum to ask questions, and most importantly, to learn from experiences..

    Rav!

    1. Offer letter/tax returns/payslips should do.
    2. What information? Some times they note an observation in the passport by a stamp and sometimes they issue a new passport. It all depends. Even if the PP # changes, no issues with H1b processing or stamping.

      Thanks

Cool... thanks a ton for the reply...
btw, the information change in the passport is the 'Change of address". Any different comments for this..?

You don't even need to get that done. Change of address will most likely be in the same passport with a stamp.

Personally, I have never bothered to get that done.

Follow the processing times links from the main immihelp page. Each services a particular state. That can be found by selecting the form from USCIS page and submission instructions tell which service center has jurisdiction.
