  • Sign or Thumb impression on Child's DS-156

    Hi,
Quick question, Should the parent sign on Child's DS-156 or child's thumb impression should be put on that?

    Thanks,
    Sunil

I could be wrong but I think the parent/gaurdian could sign on behalf of the minor child. How could a child attest to what has been provided is correct to the best of his/her knowledge?

I think the parent should. Not a father yet and have not run into the issue to say it with confidence

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

dmx, you are right. Applicant's either parents have to fill up the form and sign the section where it says the application was prepared by smone else on the behalf of application and put down appropriate relation to applicant.
