H1B status after transferring to F1

Hi,

I am on H1B, and want to go back to school on a F1. Next time I get a job, what is the process for going on a H1B.
Will I have to apply for a new H1B, or do I have to do a H1B transfer.
Is there a time period for which I have to wait until I can join another job, if I find one before my program finishes.

Every H1b is technically a new H1b. People that have had H1b in the past can apply for a new H1b that is not subject to cap later on when they need to change status to F1 when they find a job. No wait period or things of that nature. You have to wait for the F1 to H1 COS to be approved before you begin work.
