Can someone please tell that for how long period is conidered to be grace period for not being on payroll for short time while on H1B, considering that someone having been on payroll for 2 yrs then have a break before getting back onto payroll again.(for eg: the gap between changing employers or on leave of absence)

Can someone please tell that for how long period is conidered to be grace period for not being on payroll for short time while on H1B, considering that someone having been on payroll for 2 yrs then have a break before getting back onto payroll again.(for eg: the gap between changing employers or on leave of absence)

---- There is no grace period on H1 irrespective of the same employer or change of employer. Changing from one employer to the other means if you leave on Friday and join on Monday, the weekend in not counted for the pay period. (The perido is 40 hrs a week, 5 days a week adn 8hrs oper day).
