L1b To H1b

Dear Friends,

I am working on L1B visa in company A.
My H1B application (receipt) is approved (applied by company B).
I am planning to go back to India for visa stamping.
I have not applied for COS

After successful stamping I will resign from company A.
Can I come back to USA on L1 visa? I need to come back to serve my notice period.

At the time of stamping H1B visa will they cancel my current L1B visa?

My lawyer was telling that they (embassy) may cancel my L1B.

Please suggest.

Your lawyer is right. The consulate will most likely cancel the L1 visa as both are work visas.

No L1 re-entry permitted.
