Since when did public notary get the authority to grant a divorce in India? The divorce has to be signed by a judge for it to be valid. The divorce can be from US or India, it does not matter.
Did you agree to a divorce and sign it or go to any court hearings? Unless it is mutual consent, obtaining a divorce in India is not so easy.
