  • Regarding Travel to India before Sep 2008 on H1B(visa expires on 30Sep2008)

    Hi All,

I came to US in May 2006.My visa expires on 30 Sep 2008.I applied for renewal or extension for the visa in the 1st week of July.I am not recieved the extension yet.

I am planning to travel to India on 12th Aug and return on 4 th Sep 2008.

My Question is Is there will be any problem with the immgration while returning if I travel now as my visa expires on 30 Sep 2008?

    Please Help

    Kiran

No. Carry the receipt of the filing and other details if available.

As long as you are entering with a valid visa it should be ok, but I suggested to carry the receipt just in case to be on the safe side.

          Ok
          Thanks for the information

          One more question.
I applied for extension with the current I94 .
I think At POE when I am returning they will issue a new I94 with exp date 30 Sep 2008.
Is there any problem for extension as it is with old I94.

          Thanks
          Kiran

Search for 'cloning' on the forum.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
