H-1B - H4 Question

My Wife Came into US on a H-4 Visa and H-1 Visa was approved in April 2007. She couldnt get a job since the H-1B effective date of Oct 07 - Till today. What status will she be on? Will her H-4 still be valid ? Or does this affect her status? Please reply Appreciate your help,

She has been out of status since 01OCT2007! Search forums for similar threads for more info

She is not on H4 since 01OCT07 if her case was filed as COS.
