Hello all,

I have a question regarding an entry in the DS 156 form.

28. Who Will Pay For Your Trip?

If the only purpose of the trip is to get a Visa stamp then should my employer pay for the entire trip or not? Besides Visa fees should the employer pay charges for the Motel + Food + Flight.

I don't think the employer is required to pay visa fees.

I always thought it was dependent on company policy. Law, I think, has nothing to do with employer's paying for visa fees.

You may be expecting too much from the employer. Check with employer HR.
