L2 EAD Status after L1 shifts to H1 ???

Hi, I am on L1 visa and got H1 recently through ABC company. Would like to shift from L1 to H1. My wife got L2 EAD and valid until April,2010.

What would be her EAD status, when I shift from L1 to H1. Can she be able to work until April 2010 or not ???.

If you shift to H1, you should apply for COS for her from L2 to H4. Otherwise, she becomes out of status and illegal.

Once you shift to H1, L2 status and EAD are void.

She must change to H4 status. She may NOT work on H4 status.

This is a very simple question which is discussed on the USCIS website. You should become familiar with the rules and regulations regarding your and her visa statuses. If you are unable to understand such simple concepts, you risk doing something illegal.
