surname problem?

HI Members,
i would be appearing for a interview within few days. it would be for H1.
the problem is my surname part of passport is blank and my full name is written on given name part.
would there be any problem regarding this while appearing for interview.

possible to change it before interview, go and ask at your nearest RPO, (Regional passport office) , what's the surname , name etc on your I797???

name and surname is same as it is in passport
i dont think so RPO will be able to change name in such a shot period

I went to L1 Stamping my signature is different with the docs and the passport. But, they didnt give importance to this atleast. But yours is different, name matters. For changes in Passport in India they are providing the new passport that will be done in week, provided with all the original documents like birth certificate or 10th class certificate. They will charge Rs1000/- for this.

similar issue
My first name is (say) 'Julie'
and last name is (say) 'Becker'
My Husband's first name is say 'Charles'

The employer who filed for my H-1 filed as
First name : Julie
Middle Name: Charles
Last name: Becker

I do not use my husband's name as middle name (it's not specified in any documents including Indian passport)
what do I need to do? if I opt for transfer of H-1 do i need to follow the same process with new employer?

You can go with a skip the middle name during transfer.

RPO office give u in 8 to 14days, if you want to change name, you have to pay 1500 Rs + 2500Rs for duplicate passport under Tatkal service.
