Dear Ms./Mr.,
One of my friend had stayed in the USA for 6 years until she rushed back to China on 6, June because of family and friends in the area affected by the devastating earthquake. She has H1B visa in the USA and had an appointment for getting reentry H1B via at US consulate in Chengdu. A consul decided to do background check on her case and told her that she had to wait for 5 weeks. Her husband is US citizen and afraid that it would take a long time for her to come back to the USA. So he filed the application for the green card. They meant to file the application for the green card before she came back to China and finished all the forms for the application. But they didn't submit them for some reason before this visit. Now five weeks has passed by and she was told by the consulate that her case is still under administrative processing which would take another 6 weeks( in many cases much longer). She guesses that her case must be messed up by the application of the green card. Is this true? How should she do in the next step?
She needs your help so urgently. And we do appreciate your help. We're looking forward to hearing from you.
