Port of Entry - Time of Entry

Dear Friends,

I have the following situation:

a> I am taking time off from my current employer in India and travelling to US on my H1 ( sponsored by another company ).

Is it a valid situation?. Will I have issues with the Immigration Authorities in US/India?.

b> My Consultant is staying in Charlotte, NC. The flight I booked lands in JFK First and Charlotte Next.

Where will my I94 be Issued?. Do you suggest any time for landing?.

c> My Visa was Issued in September 2007, I am traveling after 1 Year.

Is this fine?.

I-94, customs, immigration will be at JFK. Get a new employment letter with a new start date from your consultant due to long delay. What you do with your employer in India is irrelevant here.
