  • H1B Transfer

    Hi All,
I had applied for H1B for 2009 and it has been now approved. I am now required to book for an stamping interview. This is NOT from the current company. This is via the company that I would join in the US.

Meanwhile, I have now got an opportunity in Singapore and would be going there. But I have pay 2300 USD to US company if I dont join them. So, do you think, getting H1B stamped and then giving the money would be better? In that case, I can get the stamped H1B transferred to any other employer? IS that possible? Is this s good Idea?

    Thanks a lot,
    Manoj Deshpande.

You don't need a h1b stamped to transfer it later on. You just need proof that it was approved like the I797.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.
