L2 - H1cos

I am currently working with L2 EAD and have H1B approval COS fron Oct. 1 2008. My spouse who is on L1 recently changed his status to F1 and the approval was received today 09/05/08.

1. Does that make me out of Status?
2. Do i have to leave the country and get me visa stamped and return on Oct 1st?

1. Yes as your husband's L1 on which you are dependent on is no longer valid.

2. Yes. Do it immediately. Do not accumulate any more out of status or unauthorized presence time. You are currently illegal in the country and have to declare that in your DS156 at the time of the visa.
