Regarding H4 visa

Hi All

My wife is appearing for H4 (dependent/spouse) visa.
I am in India, have my H1 stamped and planning to come to USA in a month.
I have a question:
Does my wife have to carry a letter from employer that describes the relationship with the Principal Applicant (Me) and the purpose of travel,
when she goes for the H4 visa interview. Is it madatory/required.

any information on this is highly appreciated, please let me know anyone.

---- It is neither mandatory nor required, but there have been instances whn a VOO has asked for the letter when the principal applicant was in US. Your marriage certificate should establish that elationship

If your wife carries the Original MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE and a letter from your Employer addressed to US Consulate/Employment Verification Letter- that you are working with them
then there will be no issues....
