Can H1 and L2 Coexist

Hi

My wife has a H1 from her employer (sheis is in India right now).

She has to travel to US on My L2 as a dependent.

Will her H1 get cancelled when she goes for L2?

Ask her to let the PoE officer knwo that she wants to be on H status later on and so want to retain it.

so that means she can get the L2 stamped and then after coming to US change the status to H1 (if she finds a job here).

Can you pls tell the process for this status change?

Visa is different from the petition. Petition for H1 remains valid unless revoked by the employer and the visa number belongs to the person (if changing to another employer). She can enter on L1 and change to H1 even if the visa gets canceled.
