I am trying to schedule an appointment with US Consulate Mumbai. There is a question:
Are you applying for the same class of visa which is currently valid or has expired within the past 12 months?
Now when I came to US last year for the first time, my visa status was H4. However later on I got job and my visa status changed to H1. Now this december I am visiting India for the first time and currently in process of getting an appointment with US Consulate at Mumbai. However I am not sure what shall be my answer for the above question.
If "H" is considered the class of visa, I guess since I have only changed from H4 to H1, I am still in the same class. However if H1 and H4 are considered as different classes then my answer would be different.
I would greatly appreciate if you can help me answer this question.
