Can I apply for L1 through Employer A having H1 from another EmployerB

can anyone help me out...As i had applied H1 and got stamped through an Employer B..but due to present situations i am unable to move to employer B at US. and my Present Employer A is trying to apply L1 for me. Can i proceed to Apply ...what will be the consequences or in any way will it effect my H1 status as i will be moving to employer B in Apr 2009 ...if I apply for L1 through my current employer A...

No issues. The VO at his discretion may cancel the H1b visa. But the petition remains valid as long as your employer wants to and your cap count can be used for any other employer to transfer the H1b.

L1 can still go ahead.
