PIMS is not a show stopper. The consulate will verify if the petition is in the database and if not will request that it be added for verification. It takes 2-4 days.

There is not much you can do to have it added in Indian Consulates. Most of them are already in the database. Only few cases have a minor delay (2-4 days)

Hi Everyone,

I came in US in 2006 on H4 Visa ,applied for H1( 2007) from here and got it .I started working from Oct 2007. Now I am going to India for H1B visa stamping .
Just now I came to know about PIMS and also read that "make sure your name is added in PIMS before going to visa stamping" .I know absolutely nothing about it .I google it but didn't find how I can add it and why I need it.

I'll appreciate if somebody could tell me something about it .
