H1 Visa from previous employer

I have a H1 question which is very importantto me. I would really be grateful to you if you can advise on it.

I was working on a H1 visa for one and a half years and for a family emergency had to resign and go back to India. Now after 6 months of staying back in India i am ready to go back and start working. Will my h1 be still valid and can i find an employer and transfer my h1 or will i have to start the h1 processing from scratch?

If your previous employer is still ready to hire you, you can use that H1.


Otherwise, you will have to find another employer and have them sponsor your H1. It will be like "H1 transfer".
