Mexican Tourist Visa to go to Tijuana for stamping

Hi,

we want to go to TIjuana in Mexico for H1B stamping.Even though many people are saying that we dont need mexican visa , we want to take it to avoid any kind of trouble. We called Consulate General of Mexico in NY. There is no way I can speak to any agent there. They have given required documents list in the announecemet. They are saying that we have to fill up application form which is avail on their website. I checked website nothing is there. Its a very poor website. Another thing they mention is some kind of round trip ticket.I didnt understand this either.round trip to where?consulate genral is in NY i am in NJ.

Does anyone has any information about all this?visa Agent in Tijuana is not helping at all.
Pls help . This is very confusing.

A visa is not needed though legally, you would need one. If you insist on getting one, Apply at a consular post and it takes 4 weeks to get a Mexican visa. It is a simple form that can be obtained from their website and costs $100 the last I checked.

You can just mention you are crossing the border by road if you are not flying into Mexico. I have been personally advised by a consular official not to worry if I don't plan to go past 20 kms from the border when I was wanting to follow the rules and get the visa myself and tried that.

If we need visa for me and my husband do we both have to go the consulate general office?
