DOB correction in form 156

Hi,

I have booked slots for h1b & h4 in Dec month.

While typing i made a wrong entry in DOB and appointment was confirmed with mistake in spouse 156 form. Now when i am trying to correct this in saved data DOB is showing as freezed.

Can i make the correction with pen on form 156 while submitting or do i need to inform consular about this.

Hi,
From my experience - my father-in-law made the mistake in DS-156 and after that when he enquired from VFS -they told him that he can correct the information by hand on the form.He did and everything went fine.
This happened last year end in Dec'2007.

I don;t know if the rules changed after that.
I will suggest you to call VFS Helpline Number and ask them -as they will tell u exactly what to do or wait for someone to post his/her reply.
