H4 VISA in in pending (Admin) process- 221G pink slip

My sister recvd a 221(g) pink slip on Nov 14th at Chennai consulate for h4 visa. Even she went with her Husband but they have given pink slip. The Consulate officer just asked 2-3 questions about her work details at INDIA and gave her pink slip. He said that just send all documents by email with text format and they will contact you when you need to send your documents & passport, he returned all her docs including passport. Also she never has been to USA before. Could anybody tell me how long it takes or is there anybody in the same boat please post ur experiences here so we can track it. Also she is having B1/B2 (Sponsored by her Brother) VISA for 10 years with multiple entries.

1) If H4 query delays, can she travel with her husband with B1/B2 VISA for time being. Please suggest?
2) Her case as per online in "pending process' how much time it will take to get H4 approval?
3) Is ther any possible ways to come to USA with her Husband


Its a bit urgent and your help will be greatly appreciated.

1. Not recommended as status changes to H4 from B1/B2 is a problem and could be considered fraud as she intended to live there than "visit".
2. What are the things they asked for to be submitted?
3. Submit the docs they requested and then get the visa. It isn't hard and I am sure they

Hi, Thanks for the prompt reply. We have already submitted all docs as per 221G pink slip. Its more like generic docuement for all and most of the fields for my sister case were not applicable only. As you know she is applying for H4 and her Husband (Brother in law) got the VISA H1B ext in the same counter only. They both went together but she got 221G pink slip and they asked her to submit documents as per slip.

Also we have all the documents without missing any and same docuements sent to consulate email ID in .txt format on the same day.

They have also received our email and changed online tracking status from 'RESPOND TO QUESTIONNAIRE' to PENDING PROCESS through - https://www.immihelp.com/usa-visas/2...sing-221g.html

Its already one week and still waiting for next status mail.

As per your mail, we need to wait for H4 only instead of looking for other possible options at this moment. Please let me know if you have any further suggestions at this time. Once again thanks a lot for your help on this.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply. I am sorry for asking again, itds two weeks period we are waiting about H4 VISA for my sister. Is there anyway to make this process fast like consult attoney or doing some process through attorney and sending docuemnts through attorney. Please advice.
