Old H1 Visa about to expire

Hello,

I have a old H1 visa from previous employer which will expire on 3rd Feb 2009.
I have a 797 transfer which expires in Jan 2010.
I have to travel in December and returning back on 16th Jan 2009.
Is it advisable to travel when my visa on passport is about to expire?
comments? suggestions?

As long as the visa is valid at the time of entry to the U.S., travel is okay.

Hi,

Also make sure that while coming back - New I-94 which u will get should be till Jan'2010 by showing the new I-797 Papers at POE.
