Hi all,

I have a few questions regarding change of status first from h1b to h4 and back to h1b. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

1. What are the risks involved in cos from h1b to h4 and back to h1b?
2. Can a new employer hire me when I change my status from h4 to h1b?
3. When a cos from h1b to h4 is applied and before h4 gets approved if I get a job offer, can I cancel the cos from h1b to h4 or do I need to wait until h4 is approved?

1. Nothing
2. They can even while you are on H4 by filing for a COS. If you are on H1b, you need pay stubs.
3. Tricky. Last action rule comes into picture. The petition that gets approved last takes precedence.
