Need help:H1B extention

Hello gurus,
I applied for my H1B extention, i applied for 18 months but i got only for 5months, is it possible that if you apply for 18 months you may get for 5 months. But when i check my approval, date and month are same but only year is different with the employer petition date. ex- in employer petition date is 07/22/2010 but in approval it is 07/22/2009, i am thinking that it might be mistake instead of 2010 they priented 2009 if you think it's true please tell me what i have to do.

I am not sure I understand your problem. Talk to your employer or lawyer. It depends on validity of LCA they requested.
