Hi,

I am a student pursuing a Master's degree in US. Joined in Fall'08.

I already have a Bachelor's degree.

Is it OK for an employer to file for my H1 in April 09.

In simple words, Can I shift from F1 to H1 before I complete my Master's degree, start working on H1, and continue my Master's part time?

---- Yes, if the job requires only a Bachelor's degree then yes the employer can apply for H1 in April '09

---- Yes, you can do that with the condition as above

You will get OPT after your Master's (in fact even before your master's) use that and apply for H1 next year.
