About renew passport (in USA)

Hi all seniors & Members,
I am on H1B into the USA, now my visa is expiered last week, passport will expiered soon next month, gap is between H1B visa stmap expiration & passport expiration is exact 35days, so, may I renew my passport without new H1B stamp??
because if I go for stamp they need atleast 6months valid passport..
I have 797A for next 3years on hand....
I dont have plan to visit outside USA upto atleast 1year so, may I renew my passport right now, and I will go for visa stamping after 6motnhs when I got my new passport.... is it ok & right way??

---- Not a problem. Renew your Passport as it is about to expire. Your visa stamping can be done on the new Passport

thanks Subramanya, but I will go for stampin after 6months it's too ok right? becasue second stamping is requiered if I will travel outside USA.. if I will stay into USA then I797A & extension of I94 is enought to stay into USA.. if I am not wrong??? thanks lots in advance..
