Info on Embassy

Hi

I am working in bangalore. I have applied for H1B from a pune based consultancy whose head office is in Georgia. the consultant processed my H1B now on the I-797 form the POE is mentioned as Mumbai. So my consultant told to attend the interview in Mumbai embassy itself.

Will that be a problem if it go to Mumbai embassy?
As i mention my current company address, and home address as my bangalore company and home address in DS-156.

Kindly suggest where to attend the interview.

Mumbai will redirect you to Chennai. You should attend in the consulate that serves your area irrespective of what the I797 says.
